Brazil´s 5th Disability Film Festival

By featuring films overcoming barriers, breaking prejudices, making you

think and have fun, giving new perspectives to the disability issue,

Assim Vivemos Festival has been the greatest celebration of cultural

inclusion in Brazil. The protagonists are disabled people, both in films

and in the audience.

For it to become true, Assim Vivemos, since its first edition, brings all

accessibilities (audio-description, Braille catalogs, Closed Caption,

LIBRAS interpretation in debates and movie theaters accessible to

wheel chairs).

Over two weeks, 28 films from 12 countries will be displayed, revealing

singular universes such as that of children from Myanmar (former

Burma) and that of wheel chair women from Mozambique. As traditional,

four debates will be held about specific themes, congregating disabled

people, specialized professionals, university teachers, movies directors,

among others.
