Issues related to the social inclusion of disabled people definitively became the order of the day among Brazilian society. Not before time, after all, they now constitute approximately 15% of our population.

The Assim Vivemos (The Way We Live) Festival consists of a selection of the films exhibited in the three versions of Festival
Wie wir leben that have taken place in Munich, Germany, including important Brazilian films addressing the subject. With a wide variety of films to be shown (fiction films, documentaries and animations), the Festival brings to this debate a special focus on certain aspects related to the issue of disability and a boldness of approach that go beyond those discussions already promoted by the media or in institutional spheres. Its international character also makes it possible to see how people from different cultures deal with the same questions.

In this sense, more than an event concerned with disability, the Festival gives people with disabilities a central role so they talk, through Art, about life and questions common to people all over the world that may be expressed in few words: our eternal search for happiness.

Through the sponsorship of the Assim Vivemos (The Way We Live) Festival, Banco do Brasil affirms its engagement in a new awareness that is being raised in our country, dealing with disabled persons.
