Cinematic portray of Katherine Devoir, a 35 year old dancer who suffers from Multiple Chemical Sensitivity, a chronic condition caused by exposure to synthetic chemicals in consumer products, pesticides, building materials, exhaust, tobacco smoke, perfume, cleaning agents, food additives and others. While skeptics, particularly in the traditional medical field and the chemical industry, still question its legitimacy, for Katherine it is a debilitating everyday reality, forcing her to live outside of the norms of her society. Her personal story functions as a catalyst to reflect on contemporary conditions of American society, its values and desires, and the complex relation between environment and health

O filme mostra um pouco da sua vida seus amigos, hobbies, estudos e esportes favoritos.
Sergey is 22 years old. He has been blind since he was eight. He is in his third year at the university, IT Department where he is getting a degree in computer programming. He is very independent and fond of sports football and judo. Sergey has learned to judge the trajectory of a ball by listening carefully. This is a skill he has acquired playing goalball a game that is similar to football and is played by blind or vision impaired athletes. The film shows a bit of his life his friendships, hobbies, studies and favorite sports.

Cinco atletas paraolímpicos atravessam o Mar Egeu a nado, em um percurso de mais de 150 km, até a Ilha de Milos. A ‘Egeuatlon’ foi inicialmente considerada uma tarefa impossível. Além das dificuldades objetivas que muitos atribuíam aos atletas com deficiência, havia ainda os obstáculos naturais ( ventos fortes, mar encapelado, tempestades e outros imprevistos). Apesar de tudo, a realização foi um sucesso.
Five paralimpycs athletes cross the Aegean Sea swimming a distance over 150 km the island of Milos. The ‘Aegeathlon’ was initially thought of as a practically impossible task. Added on the objective difficulties that many attributed to the athletes’ disabilities, there were also the tricks of nature (high winds, rough, stormy seas, and other unforseens). Despite all the obstacles, the undertaking was a success.

Digital Artist Scott Ligon has completed his first animated short film, ”Escape Velocity”. The film explores the connection between A.D.D. and creativity using his own life in self-deprecating, humorous examples. Scott forms a stream of consciousness, multi-layered narrative that emulates the day to day A.D.D. experience. The film is also a reminder of the value of creative thought as the prime mover in human endeavor. The film is developing a cult following among creative people, and individuals and families associated with A.D.D.

Mónica foi afetada pela poliomielite em 1957, aos sete anos de idade. Como conseqüência, ela perdeu a força nos membros e hoje se locomove com uma cadeira de rodas motorizada. A despeito das suas condições físicas adversas, Mônica construiu uma carreira como professora de Inglês e, o mais importante, em 1990, tornou-se mãe de uma menina que hoje está com 17 anos.
Mónica was affected by poliomyelitis in 1957, when she was 7 years old. As a consequence of this disease, she has lost strength in her limbs and today she uses a power drive wheelchair to be able to move about. Notwithstanding her adverse physical conditions, Mónica has carried on a career as a teacher of English, and, most important, in 1990, she had a girl who is now 17 years old.

Entretanto, elas são superadas de forma criativa, subvertendo as expectativas.
This documentary presents a family that like any other has a daily routine and faces common problems like working, paying the bills, shopping and planning for the future. They have only one difference: this couple has cerebral palsy, while their daughter, Fernanda, does not. Actually, Marcos and Sonia face a tough day to day life, full of limitations and overcome it all with a creativity that exceeds expectations.
