The documentary examines the unique relationship between Orandina and Angelina, who grew up together in a home for orphaned and very poor girls on the remote Portuguese island of São Miguel. The women lived alone for decades as Orandina slowly lost the function of her limbs to a degenerative neurological condition, and Angelina, who is intellectually disabled, became her caregiver. The film presents a rich exploration of disability, independence, and sisterhood.

THE MASTERS The film follows three friends, a lady and two gentlemen, about 75-79 years old, who are used to take part in swimming competitions of the Masters. When one of them cannot swim anymore the others make different efforts to help him to get back to the pool.
