Spit It Out is a funny and poignant portrait of Jeff Shames’ successful efforts to come to terms with his stutter and his family’s legacy of denial. Jeff’s father is intolerant of and rageful toward his son’s imperfections, while his mother is unable to acknowledge her own childhood stutter. As a teenager Jeff turns to alcohol and drugs to mask his shame, and eventually marries an alcoholic who interacts with the outside world for him. After his wife gets sober, Jeff discovers the stuttering self-help community and embarks on a healing journey of sobriety, self-acceptance and forgiveness.
Prêmios: Won an Achievement Award at Superfest, and an Honorable Men Best Film by a Disabled Filmmaker at Canada´s Picture This Festival.

In 1997, in both Uganda and Kenia, one hundred thousand people were without wheelchairs, and women had access to only one percent of those available. Three women decided to take their fate into their own hands. They learned how to built wheelchairs – thus ensuring their own mobility.

Happy Birthday Thalidomide is 1st generation Thalidomide victim Mat Fraser’s personal history of the original drug scandal, before he sets off to Brazil, where he meets many original, then 2nd, and even 3rd generation Thalidomide victims there. He investigates its use and meets women who are still taking it.
